Snt-Flix

Collaborative multimedia management platform featuring intelligent moderation and automated data enrichment. A non-profit project designed for sharing open-access movies and series among friends.

The project

Flix is a Full Stack web application designed to centralize, manage, and share multimedia content. Unlike a static catalog, Flix implements a living ecosystem where the community contributes content that goes through a strict quality flow. The platform solves content management via a hybrid moderation system: it enables user content submissions, automatically enriches data by consuming external APIs, and offers an administration panel to validate the final quality of the content before publication.

The problem

This project was built prioritizing scalability, strict typing, and server-side performance.

  • Automatic Data Enrichment: By entering a simple YouTube link, the system connects with the YouTube Data API v3 and TMDB to automatically extract metadata, high-quality posters, synopses, casting, and scores, eliminating manual data entry.
  • Moderation & Scoring System: Implements a confidence score algorithm for contributions. Administrators have a dedicated Dashboard to approve or reject content based on automated metrics and manual review.
  • Role Management & Security: Robust authentication system (JWT) with differentiated roles (User, Moderator, Admin), ensuring that only authorized personnel can access sensitive editing and moderation functions.
  • Modern User Experience: Default Dark Mode interface, fully responsive, and featuring instant search/filters by categories and content types (movies, series, playlists).
  • Architecture: Full Stack with Next.js 15 (App Router) using a hybrid rendering strategy: Static Generation for the public catalog (SEO) and Server Components for private panels.
  • Backend & Data: Proprietary RESTful API integrated with MongoDB. Implementation of the Repository Pattern to abstract data logic and maintain clean code.
  • Security: Session management via HttpOnly Cookies and Next.js Middleware for server-side route protection (Edge).
  • Stack: TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, SWR for data fetching with caching, and Jest for automated testing.

  2. Discovery

We gather requirements, users and constraints; what gets built —and what doesn't— is put in writing.

  3. Solution presentation

I show you the proposal —architecture, phased scope and budget— and we adjust whatever is needed.

  4. Design

I design the interface and main flows; you approve how it looks and works before building.

  5. Development

Phased construction with testable deliveries: every advance is seen working, not in a report.
