Optimized grocery shopping

The cheapest groceries, calculated for you

A platform that compares prices across chains in real time, crosses your card promotions automatically and builds the cheapest cart for a direct checkout.

The project

Caminando.online is a full-stack platform that optimizes grocery shopping: it compares prices across stores, applies bank promotions and discounts to the real cart, and lets you keep frequent carts that sync automatically for checkout. The scraping engine keeps prices alive.

How it works inside

Real-promotions engine

The real saving isn’t the list price: it’s the hidden matrix of deals — 2-for-1s, volume discounts and bank rebate caps — crossed against every item.

  • Continuous scraping of deals and the bank fine print
  • Benefits profile: the user’s banks, cards and wallets
  • Exact final cost by day and payment method

Smart carts

Search built around an efficient flow: custom lists, quick drafts and automatic stock-and-price sync for the chosen branch.

  • Searches prioritized by branch proximity and favorites
  • Stock, deals and list prices always current
  • Frequent carts that sync per store

Multi-stack ingestion (VTEX and ASP)

Scraping and normalisation of complex catalogs that coexist across retail platforms — from modern VTEX storefronts to .NET/ASP enterprise backends — keeping prices live, with no estimates.

Direct checkout

The automated final stage: stock and prices validated one last time before handing off to the supermarket’s official cart, already loaded.

  • Server-side authentication with linked credentials
  • Last-second validation of price and stock
  • Direct link to the supermarket’s official cart

The problem

Shopping without a plan is a constant drain: list prices vary between branches, 2-for-1 bank promos and rebates never stack the same way, and hopping between apps by hand eats up hours.

  • The shelf price is not the final price: promotions and bank discounts are missing.
  • Every supermarket publishes deals in its own app: none talks to the others.
  • The shopping list gets rewritten from scratch every week.

The solution

Caminando.online brings the whole grocery run into one place. Our engine crosses live prices, finds the best discount combinations for your cards and syncs the final cart, ready to buy.

  • In-house scraping: live prices, not estimates, on VTEX and .NET/ASP technology.
  • Frequent carts saved and synced per store.
  • Mercado Pago subscription for optimizer features.
